About Our Credentials
The SLA accreditation method is the basis of a newly formed industry of applied professional science.
Strategic Learning Accreditation is a division of the Strategic Learning Alliance (SLA), an international
management firm overseeing the evolution and transition of applied professional certifications to the
Society for Applied Professional Sciences. Since 2011 the SLA has conferred professional certifications
including the
Certified Professional Coach (CPC®),
Certified Professional Negotiator (CPN),
and
Certified Professional Leader (CPL).,
Their prior research was adopted by the Society of HR Management, a long-term
partner of SLA, to create the new standards for the SHRM-CP (formerly
HRA Certification).
SLA accreditation has been tested, measured, validated and established using a two part system
for measuring applied professional performance that has certified thousands
(SLA cert).
It has been bench marked and accredited within top 15% graduate business schools for undergrad
and graduate enrollment, it has been endorsed by the Department of Defense, Department of Labor,
and is emerging as a new and highly applied focus area solving the primary dilemma impacting
organization and higher education's inability to foster, grow, and transform leaders through
applied experiences. The SLA system provides:
-
College Course Certificates of Competency: unlike certificates of attendance,
competency is based on applied-demonstration within a course environment to
test and confirm application and performance in the absence of earning a certification
or diploma/degree.
- Professional Certification: in professional competencies that are not industry specific
such as coaching, negotiations, sales, and leadership; see
SLA.
- College/University Diploma/Degree: offered by the Ontario College of Training & Development,
applied professional international diplomas and corresponding US degrees based on AP.d, AL.d,
and PL.d performance (equal to baccalaureate, masters and doctorate systems.
